2xelle Womens Bike Trip

2xelle Womens Bike Trip is a fully supported womens bike trip through the Kootneys starting in Nuskup and ending in Nelson .
Day 1
Gina and i started this ride at 12 noon with a lunch and a meet and greet of everyone who will be riding with us over the 3 days . The lunch was fresh coffee and sandwiches , fruit and veggies .
The ride from Nuskup to new Denver was 50 km  we climbed almost the whole way . A challenge for sure but with so much to look at and plenty of stops for  food and lots support it was easy .
We stayed the first night in this little huts that I think looks like the huts from the Smurfs they were so cute and very nice . We slept two to a room and everyone had there own living room and Kitchen , bathroom .
Dinner was at the Beckers house outside on the lake ...Just a beautiful house , and yard .
Dinner was amazing they hired a chef to come and cook for us , chicken , salmon , veggies pasta salad and wine ...lots of home made desserts.
After dinner we made a camp fire and had coffee ...a perfect night !
Day 2 woke up for 7am breakfast was at the huts and the chef came and cooked  for us eggs , bacon and toast or your choice of fresh friut and ceral .
The ride was 120 km  we went from New Denver to Kaslo where we  stopped for lunch at the lake .  After lunch we rode to Nelson . This was one of the hardest rides I have ever done I think we climbed at least 100km of the 120 . We even saw a bear on the side of the road .
Nelson we stayed in  a hotel that was really nice and old but I forget the name ...sorry !
Dinner was at the hotel it was veggie lasagna and salad .
Day 3 Heading home and it is raining  , Gina and I only planned on staying for 3 nights and planned on only riding back to New Denver , but when we rode 25 km in the rain , freezing I then decided to jump in the van and just go home . I though to my self WHY THE HELL am I riding in this ? I am not having fun and I would never do this in Langely  , so why do it now . I then just swallowed my pride of not finishing and jumped in the Van with Gina .
This trip I think that every girl roadie should do I felt like a princess the whole trip. Even though everyone on this trip was a girl on a race team or a iron women  I never felt out of place . They helped and encouraged me to finish strong .
