Chain Loops Tail Mount Baker over night hike with the girls and Lucy

One one week until Sqaumish 50k trail race so I thought what a perfect tapper weekend to go away with my 3 girl friends Sonia , Erin, and Michelle and Lucy . We decided on Chain loops lake because I saw it on a post on face book from the Chilliwack Hiking group and I thought it would be a great over night hike .
Chain Lakes loop is in Mount  Baker  Starts at the 'Bagley Lake' parking lot-this is where the 'Wild Goose' trail head is also located. The trail first contours along Bagley Lakes before it ascends in long, sweeping switchbacks to the saddle of Mt. Herman (5,400 feet). To reach the saddle, you'll gain approx. 1,100 feet elevation. The view along the way of the switch backs were amazing so beautiful .
The hike is really easy to follow very well marked and one of the nicest hikes I have ever done .
But the only down thing is I would never recommend going  in Aug the bugs were a nightmare .
The black flies and Mosquito's were never ending and by the time we arrived set up camp and cooked dinner we were forced to stay in the tent .
Even though the bugs ate us alive I still love these girl back back adventures .
Drinking wine playing cards and relaxing ....can t wait until next year !
